2D works

My art is my temporary escape from this shared experience we know as "reality".If I can bring others along for the ride, then, all the better. I've been creating Digital art for 15 years, utilizing 3D modeling techniques as well as 2D digital painting and image manipulation. These areas provide unprecedented freedom for all artists willing to take the plunge. Programs are simply more tools that continue to develop and aid in the expansion and realization of the artists vision. Most of my works are richly colored digital mixed media. Manifested mental impressions of multi-layered imagery with a flare for the exotic.

Originally from Denver Colorado, but looking to take my career and re-locate South and West! Although I've been doing this for a while, I decided to get my degree, so, currently I'm a student in College. I'm persuing a degree in Animation. It has given me a better opportunity than I ever thought possible. I've had the opportunity to learn Adobe Illustrator with a sharp focus on the Gradient Mesh tool from Professor Floyd Chapman. (One of the few Egyptologists in the world qualified to reconstruct ancient heiroglyphic temple scenes). In the 3D and film realm, I've studied under Professor Bob Martin, who was instrumental in pioneering/testing some programs for Childrens Television Workshop when it was just forming. He's worked on Pixar's Toy Story as well.

I'm thrilled to learn new things and what I don't learn at school, I learn on my own through videos, books, and experimentation. ZBrush, Painter and Lightwave are my favorite tools for creation. But I'm also learning Maya, Particle Illusion, Manga Studio, Cinema 4D , After Effects.

If you want to know who my influences are.... well, of course there are many and I'd like to think it's quite an eclectic array. The first art form I remember influencing me was Anime. Many of the following artists are masters in that form or manga : Masamune Shirow, Shoji Kawamori, Mamoru Nagano, Kosuke Fujishima, Leiji Matsumoto, Raymond Swanland, Ramon Kelley,Nilo Rodis Jamero, Joe Johnston, Frank Frazetta, Indra Sharma, Bill Wray, John Krisfalusi, Chuck Jones,Maurice Noble and SHAG.

Phillosophy and Science are also deep wells of inspiration to draw from due to their emphasis on exploration and experimentation. My motivators in that arena are Alan Watts, Joseph Campbell, Michio Kaku, the ever humorous Bill Nye.
